Last Friday Boston Universitys National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories released data claiming that it had combined the original strain of COVID with the omicron variant resulting in a new strain of COVID that killed 80 of mice in the trial.

Scientists conducted this study but it has not gone down well with. The tests were carried out on mice and unlike the old standard Omicron strain the mice just suffered mild symptoms when exposed to the virus. The lab-made virus combined elements of the Omicron variant with the original virus.
